Introduction
This is a 12-discussion, Master’s level course towards understanding the epistemological underpinnings of an Islamic System of Governance (ISG). Based on the Prophetic Madīnian Polity, participants will delve into the concept of Islamic Governance, the application of such a system, its challenges and potentials, beyond the theoretical, and into its operationalisation in the contemporary context.
Successful participants will be able to understand the operational dynamics, and strategies, towards achieving the objectives (Maqāṣid) of an Islamic System of Governance in a multi-religious and multi-cultural contemporary context.
